The following service opportunities have been vetted by CSA but are not coordinated by our Local Engagement Department. If you are interested in serving with one of the following organizations, you are responsible to contact the organization directly and follow their volunteer protocols. Upon completion of your commitment, you will need to submit a “Service Requirement” form through your home.apu.edu page in order to receive service credits.

LUMINATE CHURCH

Service Opportunity

  • Come volunteer in the Elementary Ministry at Luminate Church (250 E San Bernardino Road Covina, CA 91723). Currently, we only have one gathering so volunteers are needed from 9:15-11:45am. Volunteer responsibilities will range from maintaining a fun and controlled class environment to leading small group discussions or activities. We are also flexible with commitment levels, in the sense students could volunteer once a month, every other week, or every week. Volunteers could start as soon as this Sunday or after the holidays.

Service Opportunity

  • Assistance with Yard Duty during lunch (ongoing)

    • 11:30 am to 12:10 pm (TK-Kinder)

    • 11:45 am to 12:30 pm (1st - 8th Grade)

    • Volunteers will help monitor students during lunch time

  • Marketing/Public Relations Opportunity (semester or year) - updating the school website and social media for the school and developing enrollment recruitment materials
