Local Engagement exists to serve the city of Azusa and greater Los Angeles area by loving our neighbor and sharing the redemptive hope of Christ. Students serve locally over the Fall and Spring semesters.

Local Engagement maintains a variety of partnerships with organizations throughout Azusa, Los Angeles, and the San Gabriel Valley (from the Zu to LA). Our office strives to create mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships with local community organizations through foundations of intentional and appreciative community development practices, as established by the Christian Community Development Association.

This semester, all local service opportunities will be considered “one-time” events. This means that all service opportunities will take place on one day, for a duration of 5-9 hours, and be worth 5 service credits. You can check out this semester’s offerings below.
