D-GROUPS
We would love to help you get connected to discipleship community on campus. Christ-centered relationships are one of the most profound ways to grow in your faith and experience God’s transformative power alongside others. Our discipleship-focused small groups on campus are known as D-Groups. These groups meet weekly for 10 weeks out of the fall and spring semesters, and you can select which D-Group is the best fit for you based upon class standings, program focus, or schedule availability.
MEET THE LEADERS
Eliza Meyer
Mondays, 5pm
Hey I'm Lizzy! I'm so excited to lead a d-group for my fellow ladies. I am a camp counselor by summer and a nursing major by school year. I'm hoping to bring a whole lot of fun into studying the Bible and also create a trusting safe space for you guys. I love talking, goofing, being active and collecting lots and lots of hobbies. I cannot wait to meet all of you!
Ashlyn Estes (GROUP FULL)
Tuesdays, 6:30pm
Hey everyone! A little about me— I LOVE the ocean, swimming, hiking, and really any adventure… but don’t get me wrong—I’m also a fan of getting cozy with a cup of tea and diving into a good book.
I want this space to be a welcoming, judgment-free zone where any girl can come as they are—questions, doubts, all the struggles. I’m excited for conversations that might get deep, challenging, or even leave us laughing so hard we can’t breathe. My hope is that this D group becomes a place where we can rest in the Lord, learn from His word, and just feel safe to be real. Can’t wait to do this journey with whoever feels called to join!
Madeline & Maya
Wednesdays, 5pm
Our D-group aims to build lasting relationships with Jesus at the center. We strive to create a space where you feel comfortable to talk about your walk with God and guide each other through our experiences. Our goal for our D-group is to shine the light of Jesus through our meaningful discussions and genuine connections that extend beyond the space that we meet.

I’d love to share readings with women who want to build relationships and do chapter by chapter study. I’m looking forward to hosting you in my home with snacks! Please keep in mind that many of my group may be other animation members, so conversations may favor our current films.

We are Caleb & Patrick, two Sophomore guys passionate about following Jesus and loving him more each day. It is our hope and prayer that we would grow to treasure Christ more each day through prayer, Bible reading, and accountability! We welcome all freshman guys and international students who seek answers and accountability. Let’s grow to become the men of God that He has called us to be and let’s fight the good fight of the faith. “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” ~Proverbs 27:17
Daniela & Solomon
Fridays, 4:30pm
Hello! We are Daniela and Solomon and we are seniors at APU! We are co-leading a Co-Ed, any grade D-group and will he studying the minor prophets of Malachi, Haggai and Habakkuk! We hope to cultivate a space where we can dive deeper into the word and really learn what it means and apply it to our lives at students. Our D-group is a safe space for questions, and we encourage vulnerability as we believe that is the groundworks for community. We hope that our group is a space of found family and growth in our faith through the word and each other!
Dalia & Hankyul
Tuesdays, 4pm
Hey, we're Dalia and Hankyul, and we're so excited to be back this semester! We hope that our D-group continues to be a space where you are empowered with tools to live by the Spirit. With that in mind, we will be going through the Keep the Blood Warm devotional to learn how to keep our hearts on fire for Jesus in this distracted world. We hope you join us!
Rebekah Loufik (GROUP FULL)
Tuesdays, 4pm
Hey, everyone! I'm Pastor Rebekah. My hope with this group is to cultivate a safe space for those who long to go deeper in intimacy with Jesus Christ and in learning how to carry the presence of the Lord in their everyday lives. We will study Scripture, dig deep in prayer, bond in the Spirit, and hear God's voice together. We want to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus does. If you're hungry for "the more" of God, this is the place for you! If you desire spiritual insight and wisdom, this is the place for you! If you're tired of a stale, busy life, and are curious about the supernatural rooted in Jesus Christ, this is the place for you! Warning: I am a big story-teller! I can't wait to see what God has in store for us this spring!

I am passionate about walking and learning with other men as we grow in our knowledge and faithfulness to Christ. We love hearing and sharing stories of how God is working that build our faith and expand our knowledge of who God is! Whether you are not sure how you feel about Jesus, starting to learn who He is, or have known Jesus for years, we would love for you to be part of our d-group. We hope that this d-group is a community where you feel safe, welcome, and cared for. We want to create a space where we can ask genuine questions and be okay with not having answers yet. Our goal is that we are all reminded how great our God is and inspired to want to know Him better.
Brandon & Ryker
Fridays, 4pm
Hello! This is Brandon's and Ryker's co-lead D-Group wanting to bring an exciting spin on the classic D-group formula. We're both passionate about being outside, making new friends, finding truth in reading the Bible, and being an example of Christ in all we do. We're looking for a group of guys, any year freshman to senior, who love being outside and being active, but also looking for an intentional time to study God's Word out in creation in a more laid back setting. We'll sort of split the group time into two sessions: first, a time to play some kind of outside game at a park near campus and second, a devotional lead by one of us leads. We hope this group can be a safe space for our APU brothers in Christ to hang out at the end of the week and relax, but also find some intentional time with the Lord even in those chill moments! We're pumped to get started!
